Films On Demand (FOD) supports both Flash and HTML5 video streaming.
For HTML5 you need IE 9 or above, Firefox 20 or above.
OR for playing in Flash you need the latest Adobe version (link for download is below).
It is recommended to update to the latest Flash version first. That should take care of the issue.
If you experience any of the following occurrences on the view video page (the page where the video plays), for numerous videos within your account:
- A "Sorry, clip not found. Media not found" error message within the video player
- A black box where the video player would normally appear
- An empty area where the video player would normally appear
- A grayed-out play button on the video player and not seeing the videos play
- A constant spindle in the center of the video player prior to the video playing
- "An error was experienced when playing the video. Please check your internet connection and try again"
Then this is likely due to one of reasons listed below:
- The computer, or device, which is accessing the On-Demand videos does not have Adobe Flash Player installed.
- The local computer's, or local network's, web filter blocking content originating from the Akamai Content Delivery Network (CDN) which is the source of our video stream.
Update Flash Version
You will also need to verify that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player running on your computer. You can download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player by using the following information:
- Restart your computer and access the content once again.
- Access the www.adobe.com webpage
- Click on the "Downloads" tab
- Click on the "Get Adobe Flash Player" link
- Download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
