What is BrowZine?
BrowZine allows researchers, faculty, doctoral students, etc. to dig into specific journal content as a strategy to discover scholarly works. It brings the library's journal content together from multiple publishers and platforms into a single place, where you can save your favorite journals, view the tables of contents, and read or save articles as new issues are released.
What isn't BrowZine?
BrowZine is not designed for in-depth, topic searching. For that, we recommend Discovery Search or the many online resources that the library subscribes to. If you have questions about the best source for your research needs, please connect with us!
How can I get help or find more information?
An extensive list of questions and answers is available on the BrowZine site. You can always contact the library for help when needed. library@trevecca.edu
Printing and Viewing
Articles are shared or opened in other sources like PDF or a library database with printing options. PrintFriendly, a free web app can be added to your browser and then applied to pages within BrowZine
The Orange Banner
Occasionally, you may encounter a journal with an orange banner on the table of contents noting that "New Full Text unavailable for 12 months from time of publication" or "This issue has no full-text."
As noted in the banner above, your library's resources may contain journals with an embargo period. Most often, publisher embargoes for full-text access last one year. These embargoed titles provide only index information for newer issues and will contain full text when the embargoed time has expired. Read more here.
You can export a citation into RefWorks from Browzine.
All URLs in BrowZine are durable or permalinks; you can send the URL to colleagues or others as desired.
Suppose you are a faculty member or librarian and would like to link to a title or group of titles to direct students to these materials. In that case, you can use these links in popular resources such as research guides or CANVAS.
Your BrowZine Account
The BrowZine Account is the system used to provide personalization features throughout the BrowZine ecosystem. Having a BrowZine Account is required for using My Bookshelf on all devices as it is used to tie together your iPhone and Laptop for example so that you only need to configure My Bookshelf on one device or the other (or both!) and the configuration will sync seamlessly between the devices.
The BrowZine Account is available on mobile devices for all users with mobile access and at BrowZine.com for libraries who have subscribed to this feature
Do I have to have an account? Can I use BrowZine at all without one?
No, you do not have to have an account to use BrowZine. You can still browse the shelves, look up titles, read tables of contents, and download articles.
However, in order to use the personalization feature of My Bookshelf and My Articles, a BrowZine account is required so it can synchronize and back up your data across all devices and ensure the device is accurately updated.
My Bookshelf
My Bookshelf is a great way to stay current with the literature in your field of research.
My Bookshelf is the area within BrowZine where you can organize your favorite journals, so the current issue is one click or a tap away, and BrowZine can help you stay up to date in your field! When viewing a journal, choose the "Add to My Bookshelf" button to add that title to My Bookshelf.
You can then organize your Bookshelf by moving the journals between multiple "shelves" and "bookcases," as well as renaming the shelves and bookcases to whatever you'd like! Then, when you log in on any device, this configuration will automatically sync to that device and display red bubbles indicating when you have new articles available in that journal.

Click on the link for "My Bookshelf" in the menu bar, and you will see a Login or Sign Up link.
My Articles (iOS, Android & Web)
My Articles is a feature that allows you to save articles you find on the Web, iOS, or Android versions of BrowZine into one or many collections within My Articles. These collections then sync across all devices you use via your BrowZine Account.
The iOS and Android versions of BrowZine have the additional feature of saving full-text PDFs for offline reading. Due to subscription content license limitations, BrowZine Web does not have this ability. Instead, it provides one-click access to the full-text content for the user, who can download the article to their computer for safekeeping and offline use.
