WMS is our system for checking out materials to patrons. You will use your personal TNU credentials during your shifts.

When you are at work please always have WMS pulled up.

After logging in, choose "Waggoner Library" as your branch.

If you ever have issues with your login (not a password issue, but a WMS issue), please check with a supervisor or the librarian in charge (x1570).

When you are at the main Circulation desk computer, please open one of these videos in an extra tab and play it in the background (muted). Any time you step away (such as to do head count, open a study room, etc), please switch so the video tab is showing. This should prevent the computer from going to sleep, so library staff can check things in or out while you are gone.

It is fine to find a different video you prefer as long as the video is "screensaver-like:" not an a show, not super active, Trevecca-appropriate. Remember your screens are visible to people coming in the doors.

Safe & Bear Key

To unlock doors, you will need the bear key.

The bear key is kept in the safe in the lower left cabinet, between the two student worker chairs. ALWAYS make sure the safe is on its side (so the lid swings open like a door). The bear key should ALWAYS be kept in the safe unless you are actively using it. The bear key should NEVER be given to anyone who isn't a library worker. Instead, if you need to let someone into a room (like if they locked themselves out of a study room), go with them, unlock the door, then go back the desk.

The safe's code to unlock is 2000*. (Note the star * after all the numbers.)

Materials Available for Checkout in the Circulation Area

Overdue Materials & Fines

When someone has an overdue fine or replacement charge on their account, kindly inform them of the amount before checking materials out to them.

  • Holds are place on accounts with $10 or more in charges.
    • An override from a full time library staff member is required for checkouts once a patron reaches the hold limit.
  • Payments can be made at the library by cash or check, or charges can paid in the business office with a credit card. They will need to know the exact amount though before going over there.
  • Place cash or checks in the cash box (far right drawer in circ workroom) and log transactions on the clipboard.
  • If you need assistance or a patron is upset, please see your supervisor or the librarian working.
