Waggoner Library Student Workers: Know Your Library

Group Study Rooms

Waggoner Library has 14 group study rooms.

  • Main Level: 116, 117, 118
  • Upper Level: 210, 211A, 211B, 212, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220

Most are reservable through the library website here

As student workers, you will be asked to provide directions to these study rooms.

The main level study rooms are near the mail room entrance.

The upper level study rooms are either to the left when you go upstairs (210-212) or along the back wall (214-220).

You may also be asked to assist if a group has a reservation but the room is occupied and the patron does not feel comfortable asking the person inside to leave.

Here is how to handle that situation:

  1. Ask library patron to show you their confirmation email on their phone.
  2. Confirm that the reservation is for the current day and time, and confirm the room number.
  3. Walk with the patron to the study room.
  4. If still occupied, knock on the door prior to entering.
  5. Politely inform them of the patron's reservation. "Hello, I'm sorry to interrupt, but this person reserved this study room at ___ time. You may be able to find another open study room--some are first come, first served, but many of them can now be reserved through the library's website."
  6. If you have any issues, please contact your supervisor or the librarian on call to assist.
  7. If you would like someone to model this for you the first time, please just ask! The librarians are happy to do this for you.

If belongings are abandoned in a room, please notify your supervisor or the librarian on call to move them. Be sure to confirm the reservation before making that request.
