Key Takeaways

  • Fall was the busiest semester.
  • Tuesday was the busiest day in total with 351 queries. Thursday was close behind with 325, and Wednesday had 299 queries.
  • However, by semester, the busiest day for Fall was Wednesday, and for Spring was Tuesday.
  • The busiest shift time was between 10 am and 12 12noon. The 12-2 pm and 2 pm-4 pm shifts were also high. The slowest shift time was between 6 pm-8 pm.

In 2024, Trevecca library patrons submitted a total of 1,721 Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests. These transactions are categorized into Borrowing and Lending: 1,118 were Borrowing requests, while 603 were Lending transactions.

Of all ILL requests, 67% were for articles, a category that also includes book chapter requests.

ILL activity was highest during the Fall semester, accounting for 48% of the year's transactions. The Spring semester followed with 39%, while the Summer semester accounted for the remaining 13%.

Key Takeaway

  • Graduate students make up the vast majority of MWAL clients, with doctoral students having the bulk of appointments.

Key Takeaways:

  • Total MWAL 2024 Appointments: 129
  • Peak Month: April, with 26 appointments
  • Lowest Month: October, with only 5 appointments
  • General Trend: Most months had a fairly consistent number of appointments, typically ranging between 5 and 17.

This suggests a significant spike in librarian consultations during April, possibly due to mid-semester research projects, dissertation deadlines, or assignments, while October saw the least engagement.
