On her webpage, Barb says that "we are striving to be a portal that will invite children into the world of reading through their Reader Personality Type. That’s where they discover they like to read. Their choices can spread far and wide…but we do need to get them INTO the world of reading so as they grow up, they will keep reading and try different types of stories.

Libres is a collection of professional children's and young adult book reviews written by librarians & teachers in southeastern Michigan. Each review includes practical application in a section called, Straight Talk for Librarians.
They’ve been receiving publisher copies and reviewing books for 4 decades and once reviewed, the books are donated to schools and libraries in their geographic area.
The blog began in 2011 simply because creator, Leigh Collazo, a school librarian, and teacher, has a love for reading and reviewing books.
