Master of Instructional Design & Technology Research Guide

"To begin with the end in mind means to start with a clear understanding of your destination. It means to know where you are going so that you better understand where you are now so that steps you take are always in the right direction."

- Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

This library research guide supports research and study for students enrolled in the MS IDT program at Trevecca. Resources include eBooks, online full-text journal articles & newspapers, statistical sources, use of RefWorks for research, access to print books, study spaces, and expert research help as needed.

Is there a Technology Lending Library?

If you need headphones, a laptop, charging cables, a tabletop whiteboard, markers/erasers, or ring lights for videoing, the Technology Lending Library can help. The Information Desk has these plus many more gadgets and technology items to check out and use in the library.  Some can be checked out for several days. View more information about our Technology Lending Library here!

Where can I work with a group of classmates?

Group study rooms are found on the main and second floors. Several study rooms can be reserved in advance! See below. Several can seat 3 to 8, while the majority seat up to four. All have whiteboards and network/electrical connections. Dry-erase markers can be checked out from the main circulation desk.

Book a Group Study Room

Study rooms can be reserved in advance. Reservations are accepted for groups of 3 or more ONLY.  When you arrive at your reserved time and find that others are using the room, ask the librarian for assistance. The rooms may be used without making a reservation, but those with an approved booking have priority. Click here to book a study room.

What about printing in the library?

Students can print to the Papercut printers. Print jobs are released by either tapping or sliding your TNU ID to release the print job.

Can you bring food or drink to the library?

Food-free zones are located around the computers on the main & ground floors and the Library Instruction Room. Waggoner NINETEEN| 01 coffee bar on the main floor serves coffee, teas, pastries, and grab-n-go lunches. Be mindful of your space. Keep it clean.
