Books

You can find books by searching the library website. Discovery search allows you to search for print and eBooks simultaneously. Use the filters on the left side of the result page to choose print books or eBook format.

View the short tutorial linked below to understand how to search Discovery effectively.

Coming to the library?

Location

Books in print are shelved on the top floor of Waggoner. We use Library of Congress (LC) system to organize our books. All  titles are filed by LC subject discipline such as ethics in the BJ's, management in the HD's or science in the Q's.

Check out

Your Trevecca ID serves as your library card. If you don't have a physical TNU ID bring a photo ID to enable checkout. Typically print books are checked out for 28 days.

Read Options

Waggoner eBook collections have options for the book to be checked out to a device (laptops, tablets, iPads, or smartphones are all devices), or print sections of the book or view it online. In order to take advantage of those options, you will need to create an account. It's free!

EBook Central and EBSCO eBooks are our two primary eBook collections. You can search them separately or by using Discovery Search.

Learn more about eBooks, creating accounts, checking out and copying content from eBooks from the eBook Research Guide.

eBook as Textbook

Sometimes, an eBook is used as the textbook for a certain course.

View the short video below to learn more about the efficient use of eBook Central, one of our eBook collections.

General Library Resources - Articles & Databases

Discovery Search

Many students start looking for journal articles using the library's Discovery Search, found on the library homepage. This is a good starting place. HOWEVER, an article search in Discovery only searches a SMALL portion of our databases. To use this method effectively, view the short tutorial below, Discovery Search: Journal Articles (3 min 09 sec)

Peer-Reviewed Journal Articles

You'll find journal articles using library databases. Each database provides a link to limit your results to peer-reviewed sources. You may want to use other databases beyond what is linked below.

The A-Z Databases page links to ALL library databases. Search by subject area or drill down alphabetically by name of the database.

Primary Databases Searching Public Health Information

Not sure how to use these databases? Go to our Waggoner Tutorials research guide for video tutorials to help you search effectively.

Note: Please understand that [Statista] cannot offer free assistance in researching or locating data, given the high volume of requests. If you would like further research or information, [they] recommend consulting [their] Research & Analysis service. Statista does not offer advice for students working or dealing with SPSS software. Such consulting would lead to the empirical evaluation of student work.

How do you cite a Statista image?

The diagram below shows where to find Citation information within Statista for APA formatting.
