WHAT'S IN THE LIBRARY?  WAGGONER LIBRARY HAS BOTH PRINT AND ONLINE COLLECTIONS

PRINT RESOURCES

  • Check out for the main collection at this time is by the term, typically close to 7 weeks.
  • Your TNU ID card is your library card.
  • Most print books you can check out are found on the library's top floor.
  • Graphic novels, Audiobooks, & Adulting collections are found on the main floor.
  • The young adult (YA) novels are housed in the ELC, the ground floor of Waggoner Library.

NEWSPAPERS

  • Online newspapers: Keep up with what is going on at home, nationally, and globally with our newspaper databases. Nexis Uni, Infotrac Newsstand, and US Newsstream databases have significant current and full-text backfiles of regional, city, international, and major newspapers, including the Tennessean. 

ONLINE RESOURCES

  • eBooks - Online, full textbooks accessed 24/7 online.
    • eBooks provide online access 24/7 to scholarly content for papers, presentations, and research. All eBook titles are discoverable in the online catalog. Just note that titles with a link instead of call numbers are typically eBooks. eBooks are read online; you can create chapter downloads or download them to an eReader device.
  • 140 Library databases
    • Databases provide access to peer-reviewed journals, eBooks, and streaming videos. The library subscribes to over about 140 databases. Academic Search Ultimate and Academic OneFile are multidisciplinary, providing full-text access to many types of resources. There are also subject databases such as Business Source Ultimate and PsycARTICLES. See all subject area databases here!

STUDY SPACES

  • A large number of study rooms can be reserved in advance. Click here to make a reservation. 
    • All have whiteboard walls and network/electrical connections. Dry-erase markers and cleaning solutions can be checked out from the main circulation desk.
    • The Silent Study Room on the top floor of the library is for silent, individual, no talking, or other noise, studying.

PRINTING IN THE LIBRARY

  • All computers in labs and the library are networked to printers named TNU_Print.
  • Items can be sent to TNU_Print from any networked printer on campus and picked up at any networked large Xerox digital printer on campus.
  • Simply tap your ID card on the reader, and it will unlock the screen for the printer and process any charges through OneCard.
  • There are three printers on the main floor.
  • One on the ground level and one on the library's 2nd floor.
  • Printing costs are charged to student accounts.
  • Digital printers also have copying and scanning capabilities.

HEADPHONES & LAPTOPS

  • Headphones can be checked out to use IN THE library. The library has some laptops on reserve that can be checked out for three hours of use in the library.  Additional laptops are available for extended checkout - the semester  - you read that right :-)
