What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a cooperative effort between many libraries around the world to provide articles, books, and other materials to researchers, students, and others. ILL is offered through Waggoner Library for currently enrolled Trevecca students and current Trevecca employees.

Making an ILL Request

You can request items online through interlibrary loan in one of two ways:

1. Find the item in Discovery and click on its title to view the details. There will be a purple 'Request Item through Interlibrary Loan' button that you can click which will attach the item's information to your request, so that you don't have to type it out.

2. If the ILL request button for a title in Discovery is unavailable, use our online interlibrary loan form (you will need to type in the item details)

Important Notes:  Your Trevecca email and the 11-digit Campus ID number from your ID card are both required on all ILL requests. Contact the library if you do not have your 11-digit campus ID number.

If you have questions or need assistance, please call the ILL office (615-248-1338) or email us (ill@trevecca.edu)

Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL)  https://tntel.info/

TEL is available to all citizens of Tennessee. All Tennessee public and private educational institutions have access to TEL databases. This includes TN K-12 schools throughout the state.

As future education leaders, you must know you have this incredible resource in your school. Your school librarian can assist with training and guidance as needed. Many of these databases are Gale products and part of the Waggoner Library A-Z Database collection.

Unique Features:

Topic Finder visualizes connections between search terms and topics and view relevant articles for those topics

The Topic Finder is a cool interactive visual search tool in TEL/GALE databases. This tool takes the titles, subjects, and approximately the first 100 words from a subset of your top results and feeds them into an algorithm. Keywords shown in the graphics are those found most often in the text with your search term. Click the terms to narrow. Articles are shown on the right of the result screen. Below is the result of searching the term schools in the Information Science & Library Issues database. Give it a try!
