These resources are free but are not sponsored by CLEP. They are NOT affiliated with the testing companies but have been created by individuals to aid in the study process for these exams.

CLEP exams are administered by appointment in the Testing Center in Bud Robinson.

CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-exam program in the country.

  • CLEP exams are available in two categories--general examinations and subject examinations.
  • CLEP tests cost $80
  • Each exam is approximately 90 minutes in length.
  • CLEP exams are computer-based so results are available immediately.

What CLEP exams can you take for college credit here at Trevecca?

Five (5) general examinations are available:

  1. College Composition (6 credit hours)
  2. Humanities (6 credit hours)
  3. Math (6 credit hours)
  4. Natural Sciences (6 credit hours)
  5. Social Sciences and History (6 credit hours)

Each general examination covers material taught in courses that most students take as requirements in the first two years of college. Each is 90 minutes long and consists primarily of multiple-choice questions.

Thirty-three (33) CLEP subject examinations are available.

Each subject examination covers material taught in an undergraduate course with a similar title. See the list of CLEP exams here.
