Discovery Searching: Books

Print & eBooks are found through our Discovery search.

  • Enter the topic into the Discovery search box. Click the 'Books' icon and then the green search (magnifying glass) button.
  • Use filters on the left side of the results page to limit results by Library (Trevecca), format (print or eBooks), pub date, and even by authors.
  • View the short tutorial below to learn more about using Discovery Search.

If you like to browse the shelves, Education circulating books are shelved in the “L” for Education area, top floor of the library.

Print Books

Print books can be checked out using your TNU ID. Use Discovery Search to find books, both print and eBook format. 

eBooks

  • Over 200, 000 eBooks can be found using the library's Discovery search.
  • Enter your topic, click the Books icon, and then the Search icon.
  • On the result list, use the filters on the left to limit results by Trevecca Library and then by format - eBooks.
  • To view an eBook click the 'View eBook' button.

The Gale Virtual Reference Education Collection includes 56 complete titles published by ASCD covering a wide range of issues in education - from teaching methodology and practices to leadership and community initiatives. Download options are available. Below are a few examples of eBooks in our collection.

About Chapter PDFs

Downloading chapter PDFs or page ranges of an ebook is the best way to optimize its use. By not checking out (downloading) the full ebook, you are allowing the ebook to continue to be available for everyone.

EBSCO eBook Collection

About Chapter PDFs

Depending on publisher-specified limits, up to 100 pages of an EBSCO eBook can be printed, saved, or emailed as a PDF file (per user) from within the eBook viewer to be printed later.

Notes:

  • Some titles may not allow for printing due to individual publisher-specified limits.
  • The number of pages may vary depending on individual publisher-specified limits.
  • The option to print or save ebook pages will be temporarily unavailable if you have reached your printing limit.
