Behavior in Waggoner Library

Trevecca's behavioral standards as stated in the Student Handbook are applicable to all who use Waggoner Library.

  • Waggoner is intended for group and individual study, and for conducting research.
  • As a courtesy to library users, please maintain a relatively quiet atmosphere, conducive to study.  It is understood that group work is not silent, but please be considerate of others.
  • Waggoner Library personnel may ask individuals and groups to moderate their noise level as appropriate.
  • Courtesy towards all is expected at all times.
  • If your behavior is deemed unacceptable by Waggoner Library personnel, you will be asked to change your behavior or to leave the library.  For Trevecca students, any such actions will be reported to the Office of Student Development.
  • Community patrons and other library users who are not associated with Trevecca Nazarene University may have their library privileges (in particular, being in the library building) revoked for repeated behavior problems. Usually, patrons will receive a verbal warning before this happens, however, if the behavior is serious enough, library privileges will be revoked immediately. Campus Security will be advised of this action.
