Compliance Status

To provide transparency into the state of accessibility in the Springshare Suite of tools, we have made available our Voluntary Product Accessibility Template Reports (VPAT’s) in the Springshare Lounge. If you are not a member of the Lounge, we highly encourage you to become a member so you have access to resources like this and can chat with fellow Springshare users!

During our development processes, we follow WebAIM’s Principles of Accessible Design. We also evaluate our products to determine how well they comply with current regulations and standards, using browser developer tools and our in-house accessibility team.

1. Accessibility for LibGuides

LibGuide Accessibility Session Video
A 45 min video covering the following topics:
-Adding accessible content
-Customizing guide design for accessibility
-Reviewing your site using testing tools

LibGuide Accessibility Session Guide
Application of WCAG 2.1 guidelines into LibGuide elements (rich text/HTML, images, embedded media, style customization, design) with explanation and best of all, examples of good and less good formatting conforming to WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

2. Accessibility for LibWizard

LibWizard is accessible, but there are additional steps that you can take when creating forms, quizzes, surveys, and tutorials to make sure that the content you add is also accessible.
