Literature Resources

A Discovery search can be a good place to begin to find literature-based journal articles. However, not many of the literature databases are included in a Discovery result list. Your best bet is to dig into one of the specialized literature-based databases described in the next tabs.

Take a look a the Discovery Search video tutorial below first. It will show you how to apply the correct filters for the results to represent peer-reviewed Trevecca articles and your topic guidelines.

What are Peer Reviewed Articles?

How do I Find Peer Reviewed Articles in Library Databases?

JOURNAL TITLE SEARCHING:

Sometimes you'll need to find the actual article from the bibliography. Could it be an article you need to read for class, or perhaps you found it in a related book? Pulling up the actual article if you know the journal name is simple, but it's done differently than searching by subject.

  • Click the 'Advanced Search' link above the search box on the library homepage.
  • Type the name of the journal in the first search box. Change the tag to 'Journal Source'
  • Type the article title in the second search box. Change the tag to 'Title,' and click the search button.
  • Click the 'Access Online' button on the result list to see the full text.
