SUBJECT or TOPIC SEARCHING:
Most of the time you'll be searching for journal articles by a topic or subject. A Discovery Search: Journal Articles is a good beginning place, but for deeper research and higher quality results go directly into a database of your choosing.
WHAT ABOUT PEER REVIEWED ARTICLES? WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW DO I FIND ONE?
Follow these links to a description and more information before you begin your search.
JOURNAL TITLE SEARCHING:
Sometimes you'll need to find the actual article from the bibliography, an article you need to read for class, or perhaps one you found in a related book. It's simple to pull up the actual article if you know the journal name, but it's done differently than searching by subject.
Most of our databases have the option to limit search results to a peer reviewed journal. See the examples below from Academic Search Ultimate, Gale Academic OneFile, and Business Source Ultimate to show you where to limit a search to peer reviewed articles.
